Devon Out For Season

Devon Moore, JMU's starting freshman point guard, is out for the season it seems. He sprained ligaments in his left wrist in JMU's game against Hofstra on Wednesday. Devon was averaging 10.1 pts, 3.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and .8 blocks in about 32.8 minutes per game. He had built up a 49.7% FG%, 31.4 3pt%, and was a clutch 83.3% free throw shooter. In total, he scored 274 points this season and was on his way to hitting the 300 mark. He was also about to pass the 100 rebound mark (97). This is a huge hit for the Dukes who only have 3 games left in the season until the CAA tournament. While junior Pierre Curtis will be able to do a good job filling in at point guard, it drastically cuts down on our depth and we will miss Devon's ability to drive to the basket. Moore was also a CAA Rookie of the Week earlier in the season and had a great chance at making the conference all-rookie team.
